When it comes to luxurious evenings in Lisbon, it doesn’t get much better than a trip to the opulent SUD Lisboa.

Located on the riverfront of the River Tagus, in Lisbon’s Belém area, July 2020 will mark three years since SUD Lisboa opened its doors for the first time.

Less than 20 years ago Portugal was attracting a little over 5 million international visitors a year. In 2019, according to the national tourism authority, Turismo de Portugal, that figure stood at over 24 million.

One of the oldest cities in Europe, this luminous capital is not only renowned for its vintage trams, pasteis de nata cake shops and melancholic Fado clubs – Lisbon is also a nexus for creative start-ups, and contemporary European urban life, writes Andrew Forbes.
